The pie chart shows information about how people voted in the Dartford area during the 2019 General Election. Which party had the most votes?

    How to approach this question

Look at the pie chart. Each slice (sector) represents a political party. The size of the slice corresponds to the number of votes. Identify the largest slice and then use the key to find out which party it represents.

    Full Answer

In a pie chart, the area of each sector is proportional to the frequency it represents. Therefore, the party with the most votes will have the largest sector. By visually inspecting the pie chart, the white sector is clearly the largest. According to the key, the white sector represents the Conservative party. Thus, the Conservative party had the most votes.
